We are Student Involvement. You may have seen us on social media, at your Camp War Eagle session, at tables up and down Haley Concourse, or in the Melton Student Center. You may have never even heard of us, but we want to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about who we are and what we can do to enhance your Auburn experience.

Did you know that Auburn University has more than 550 organizations for you to choose from? Each organization falls under one of six branches: governance, leadership, media, organizations, programming, and service. Maybe you are interested in representing the student body or developing your leadership skills on and off campus. Maybe you want to find a creative outlet through one of Auburn’s five, award-winning student media groups. Maybe you want to contribute towards planning engaging events on campus or simply serve your community in any way you can. Maybe you are just looking to join an organization of like-minded individuals to help you find your place on campus. Whatever you are passionate about, there is an organization for you!

Whether you are a freshman, junior, or graduate student, there is no “right” time to get involved. Knowing where and how to get involved can be confusing. Whenever you are ready, we offer many resources to help!

Campus organizations are split into two categories, Registered Student Organizations and Student Activity Organizations. Registered Student Organizations are student-created organizations based on the common interests of their members. RSOs may charge membership dues and are eligible for funds from the Organizations Fund once active status is achieved. Student Activity Organizations are organizations that provide signature high impact, visible or otherwise notable involvement opportunities to the Auburn University student body. A Student Activity Organization is part of a Student Activity Portfolio and eligible to receive funds directly from Student Activity Fees in accordance with SGA Finance Law. There are 17 SAOs housed within Student Involvement.

AUinvolve is a great way to explore different involvement opportunities. Simply log-in to your account using your Auburn credentials and you can find all our organizations, upcoming events, service opportunities, and more! If getting on AUinvolve to identify and connect with all those opportunities seems overwhelming, that’s okay! We have an amazing team in our office that can help you find the perfect organization. Our Involvement Ambassadors are here to connect students to avenues of shared experiences in involvement and provide resources to existing and potential student organizations. You can find them and other members of our staff in our office on the 3rd floor of the Melton Student Center, Suite 3130.

Did you know that 19,043 Auburn students were involved in at least one organization last year? There are plenty of reasons for you to get involved during your time at Auburn. The GPA of involved students is consistently higher than non-involved students. We have organizations that can help you gain valuable leadership experience and build skills that are sought after by future employers. Getting involved is also a great way to network and field opportunities for internships and employment.

We recently launched our new website at involve.auburn.edu as a hub for all things involvement! Here you can find information on all 17 SAOs, upcoming application deadlines and opportunities, resources for current leaders, and more! Our social media accounts are also kept up to date with campus news, upcoming events, and a weekly overview of what’s happening in Student Involvement called “Get Involved This Week”. You can even sign up for our monthly “Involvement Minute” newsletter which spotlights different organizations and events on campus that are open to everyone!

We have an amazing team of staff dedicated to student success who are here to help create learning experiences, cultivate community, develop engaged leaders, strengthen your connection to Auburn, and anything else you need to have a fulfilled Auburn experience. Whenever you are ready, we are here to help you discover your path and GET INVOLVED!
